As the Creative Production Manager you are responsible for the effective integration and performance of creative design projects on a campaign and weekly business-as-usual basis.

You will have full responsibility for the delivery of creative design projects within the Marketing Dept across the business with a key ongoing task being the creative production of the Lidl Weekly leaflet to agreed weekly deadlines.

Attention to detail and project management experience are a must, as the Creative Production Manager will be responsible for managing weekly artwork and campaign deadlines, designer resource and print delivery schedules.

You will report into the Advertising Production Manager. You will work closely with the Senior Designer and oversee the output and performance of the creative design team.

Your Tasks

• Working closely with the Marketing Production team to ensure the timely and efficient production of weekly advertising materials incorporating the leaflet, in-store advertising and ad-hoc weekly design business.
• Efficiently managing design time and the design team based on priorities, within ever changing deadlines.
• Ensure efficient and consistent workflow amongst design team, working closely across departments to ensure all needs are covered in digital, print, image creation and ad hoc projects.
• Write creative briefs for inhouse/agency in conjunction with Advertising Production Manager / Senior Designer as required.
• Responsible for the planning and implementation of creative projects, working closely with Leaflet Production Team, Regional Marketing Managers & Trade Marketing Manager.
• Liaising with International on best practice.
• Guiding and motivating fellow employees.
• Effective supervisory and organizational skills.
• Key role in daily production catch-ups to ensure all weekly leaflet deadlines and ad hoc creative project deadlines are met and artwork is delivered accordingly.
• Liaise with Digital Production Manager to manage additional digital design needs across weekly business and campaign activity.
• Monitor and continuously improve design processes with the use of in-house project management tools and scheduling best practice.
• Organise client briefing sessions when required, and keep on top of daily production workflow through effective meeting planning.
• Ensuring all finished artwork is correct to brand guidelines and content checked before sending for review.
• Ensuring all assets and information needed for effective design is ready and available, this includes the organisation of photography, content creative to external partners when required.
• Working in tandem with the senior designer and Advertising Production Manager in creating design processes so that the dept and wider business are aware of how the design team operates.

Your Profile

• Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
• Well-organised with the ability to multitask and work to targets and strict deadlines
• Flexible in managing multiple projects, requiring multiple skills, deadlines and budgets.
• Previous project management experience, including planning, timelines and costs.
• Strong ownership of tasks with the ability to understand points of escalation.
• Proactive at keeping up to date with latest policies and procedures.
• Efficient decision making and organisational skills.
• The ability and confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues across all levels of the business.
• Positive can-do attitude with a desire to learn.
• Knowledge of design processes, publishing, artwork production and industry best practice on creative delivery is advantageous.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
