Sales Team Leader

Job Description

Location: Lifestyle Sports Waterford

Reports to: Management Team

Job Summary: To assist the store manager in the smooth running of the store, leading sales and service within the store. The sales team leader is responsible for assisting in managing store operations, opening & closing the store, till exception functions (excluding employee discount) and cash office management.

2) Essential Criteria:

· A minimum of Leaving Certificate or equivalent

· Fluent in English

3) Desired Criteria:

· Third Level qualification in the sports and leisure industry/ management

· 1 years management or supervisory experience

· 2 years experience in a fast paced Sports Retail environment

· Knowledge of sports apparel, footwear and equipment

Job Tasks & Activities:

Customer Commitment:

· Promote and encourage sports sales team members to provide exceptional customer service and sales techniques

· Display and demonstrate excellent product knowledge to customers

· Analyse the daily store plans provide guidance and support to the store team

Communication:

· Liaise with fellow management team, staff and customers in a professional and friendly manner

· Follow daily direction provided by the manager in their absence and lead the team to carry out daily activities

· Communicate store sales targets with sales team members

Team Motivator:

· Motivate the team members to demonstrate the sales circle

· Encourage staff to drive sales performance

· Use of own initiative to be creative towards company expectations

Planning and Organising:

· Open and close the store

· Plan and organise daily tasks

· EPOS and daily cash office duties

· Delegate tasks to sales team members

· Control of deliveries and stockloss

· Implementation of merchandising standards

· Correct pricing of stock and checking same

· Maintaining fire, health and safety standards

· Ensure all team members adhere to Lifestyle Sports policies and procedures

Mobility: The sales team leader must be available to attend alarm calls during out of office hours.

Salary: From €18,000.00 per year
