Special Requirements for this Post Instrumental tutors of
Violin: Singing: Piano / Keyboard: Guitar/ Ukulele
with experience of a variety of instrumental styles and the ability to lead small ensembles.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on successful applicants including Disclosure check (Applicant Declaration must be completed and returned with application).
Additional Information Up to 10 hours per week per post, hourly paid at £25.79 and/or £34.27 for large group/class lead tutor role with a sessional contract; varying hours on a termly basis.

The tutors will be required to have knowledge of a variety of teaching styles and be able to teach small groups and individuals to a high standard through the Primary and Secondary phases. The Community Music Service (CMS) is a well established music service based in the thriving borough of Barking & Dagenham situated in the east London, it is the youngest of the London boroughs.
The CMS is a national award winning service that is the lead organisation of the Barking & Dagenham Music Education Hub. The delivers instrumental lessons across the borough in Whole Class Ensemble Teaching and smaller group and individual lessons. CMS ensembles rehearse weekly and perform regularly with partner organisations that include the London Symphony Orchestra, Guildhall Barbican and the BBC.
