Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we’ve developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We’re one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.
Do you have a commitment to working with young people with SEND ?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the SEND 0-13 Statutory
assessment team. As an EHC Coordinator we’ll look to you to manage a caseload of vulnerable children and young people 0-13, overseeing the statutory assessment process, writing EHC plans, attending annual reviews and amending EHC plans ensuring that vulnerable children and young people receive the support they need.
You will need to analyse and synthesise complex reports to produce EHC Plans within statutory timescales and provide an excellent customer service to young people, schools and parents. You will need to be well-organised, able to work independently and have excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of attention to detail.
As the key officer managing the statutory process you will be actively engaging with young people in schools, as well as with parents/carers and professionals to support effective co-production and holistic support.
In return you will be joining a high performing team with manageable caseloads. We set high standards but you will receive a high level of support and guidance, supervision and flexible working approaches to support work-life balance and the delivery of excellence for our SEN pupils and their families.

YOU MUST THEREFORE, DISCLOSE WHETHER YOU HAVE ANY PREVIOUS CONVICTIONS IN THE APPLICATION FORM.
