The Role
Be a part of an internship program, driving human progress through technology. During a 10- week period (June 3, 2022 – August 12, 2022) our summer interns innovate and make an impact by transforming industries across the globe and changing the world one connection at a time.Our interns are presented with real business challenges and provide solutions that make a difference across all areas of the company, all while learning the skills needed to successfully navigate the modern workplace.
Interns within the Strategic Enterprise and Public Sector Organization will be a part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active Lumen work projects. In this role, our goal is to provide our intern with a wide exposure to Lumen products and various organizations. He/She/They will work closely with the Solution Support Team to help off-load process related work from the SE Community. The objective is to free up SE time to drive complex Integrated Compute Solutions impacting Sales Performance.

The Main Responsibilities
Immersion Training/Education: technical on-boarding education track while shadowing lead engineers and learning the Lumen way.
Build proficiency in various tools required to perform successful research tasks and order submission.
Attend informal and formal presentations/trainings from technical specialist and sales peer audiences. Learn, learn, learn.
Customer Engagement: under supervision may attend customer meetings via collaboration tools and sometimes in person.
May work with technical teams in preparing proposal & presentation materials to include research, mock strategy discussions and solutions reviews.
Customer Success: support creation of solution design documentation and data capture processes during sales cycle
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, takes initiative, has a keen attention to detail, strong organization skills, communication skills, and maintains a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or closely related field.
Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or master’s level education status at the start of the internship, graduating August 2022 – June 2023.
3.0 or above cumulative GPA preferred
If position is in office, must have transportation to/from work daily
Must be available to work 30 – 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe.
