Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Location: Longmont, CO

Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Pay: $21-$24/hr with opportunity to grow into lead position

Position- temp to hire

This role will start as a Shipping Clerk and individual will be trained to become Shipping lead. Company is looking for a career driven individual. Must have strong work history and demonstrate longevity in previous roles. Must have experience with domestic and international shipping.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Checks items received against shipping invoice to ensure the shipment is accurate.
• Unpacks and organizes inventory in the stockroom or warehouse.
• Stores items after inspection following distribution department’s procedure.
• Pulls items for outgoing orders following instructions on shipper.
• Pulls items for Value-Added Department following instructions on shipper.
• Labels items with appropriate information (part number, barcode, description, carton number, etc).
• Packs items in cartons following instructions.
• Verifies outgoing items meet customer specifications (i.e. labels, packaging, carrier, etc).
• Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products for a business
• Perform quality checks on stored inventory and discard inventory that does not meet the standard.
• Update inventory count and maintain inventory records to share with management.
• Report discrepancies in inventory.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years stocking/receiving warehouse experience is desired.
• Someone with consistent work history, 2 years or more at each role.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Possesses physical strength necessary to unload, lift, and carry heavy boxes.
• Exhibits strong organizational skills.
• Is familiar with inventory software.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Works well with a team.
• Communicates clearly and effectively.
• Demonstrates ability to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
• Exhibits familiarity with proper safety procedures in the warehouse or stockroom
