An opportunity to work with safety critical applications (i.e. telecommunications, medical devices, utilities and etc.).
The Role:
- Providing expert software development services and expertise
- Analysis, design and implementation of innovative software, primarily using C++ for embedded targets
- Integration of software to various hardware across utilities, biomedical, mining and business products
- Liaising with project managers, team members and other engineers to develop and deliver exceptional solutions to our customers
- Actively participate in design and code reviews
- Provide technical documentation of solutions created
- Contributing to the further development of the software team through continual improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Good written and verbal communication
- Thorough understanding of multi-threaded design
- Experienced Firmware Engineer
- Good C++ skills and strong OOD understanding
- Experience writing codes in Embedded C
- Experience in device driver development
- Commercial experience with at least one RTOS (preferably FreeRTOS)
- Experience with STM32 microcontroller
Desirable but not critical requirements:
- Solid understanding of complete SDLC
- Agile and/or Scrum experience
- Basic algorithms / data structure knowledge
- Familiarity with unit-testing, design-for-test and supporting patterns,
- Windows / Linux development experience
- Experience with Machine Learning / Image Analysis
