The opportunity

The incumbent will initially work with the IFRS17 reporting team to support implementation and transition to IFRS 17 regime. As the IFRS implementation project winds down in the next 6 months, the incumbent will transition to the special project team to support actuarial valuation projects and process transformation.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and transition to IFRS17 regime
• Take on ad hoc special valuation projects with strong ownership of solving the problem statement.
• Challenge existing methodologies and processes, and propose enhancements and solutions.
• Advocate AXIS modelling and support development of job relevant AXIS skills

What we are looking for

• University degree- Mathematics, Business or Finance preferred.
• 7+ years of Actuarial related experience (including Pricing, Valuation reporting, Plan, etc.)
• Strong communicator in English including ability to translate complex technical issues into fundamental concepts
• Knowledge of AXIS, or experience with other actuarial modelling software and capability to learn and advocate AXIS modelling
• In good progress to become Fellow of an internationally recognized actuarial society i.e. FSA, FCIA, FIAA, FIA
• Highly developed business acumen, and pragmatic approach to solving problems and implementing solutions
• Critical thinking skills and mindset to challenge existing way of working
• Flexible with highly effective influencing skills
• Strong relationship building skills to build effective working relationships with divisional and Group leaders
