Mathys & Squire Hiring for Trainee trade mark attorney at London Full Time

Our specialist trade mark attorneys and solicitors protect the rights of UK and global brand owners in markets as diverse as automotive, consumer goods, sports, food and drink, clothing, pharmaceuticals and technology. Joining our thriving practice, you will be exposed to real work from day one supporting the Partners in activities such as drafting and managing trade mark applications across multiple jurisdictions, trade mark prosecution and oppositions, and assisting in providing strategic advice on client portfolios.

Our trainee programme includes full support and training to enable you to achieve qualification as a Registered and Chartered UK trade mark attorney. This is provided in a number of ways from working with our award winning industry experts, internal workshops and recognised external courses.

Applicants should have or be working towards a degree (2:1 or above). There are no specific subject requirements although studies in Law, English or Languages will be looked upon favourably. You may also be a qualified solicitor looking to specialise in IP or currently be working towards a professional qualification. The ideal applicant should be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to proactively problem solve and having a commercial acumen are key competencies you will exhibit.
