Our residents require experienced, friendly, supportive, and capable Health Care Assistants to enable them in their activities of daily living.
Hours of work:
The positions work rotating rostered shifts to cover a 24/7 operation. We have part-time and full-time options available to suit you! We offer flexibility for a work/life balance.
About us:
McKenzie HealthCare is situated in the lovely rural village of Geraldine in South Canterbury. We are an aged care facility for 71 residents; we cater for residents with complex needs at Hospital, Palliative, Rest home and Dementia levels of care. We have 71 beds plus 10 we hold contract for ACU units.
About you:
- To be a caring, competent, passionate, and reliable caregiver who shows respect and empathy for the elderly.
- To enjoy working as part of a team with great people skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Available to work some weekends.
- 1-2 years’ experience caring for the elderly (desirable).
- Completed level 3 in Health and Wellbeing or willing to work towards.
- To be a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid Work Permit.
