Your Mission:

This newly created role will have 2 key areas of focus:

• Take our external Global Education Services (GES) business to a new level where it becomes a major centre of excellence and growing revenue stream for Medidata.
• Lead a UK based Professional Services team, setting the vision and driving the commercial focus.

Global Educational Services

• Oversee the existing external client training delivery team (Global Educational Services, GES)
• Take our external training business to new heights through creative and innovative solutions as well as delivering a seamless and efficient operation which delivers (and measures) a quality training experience.
• Work with the existing GES team to grow the training business to be at the centre of our clients education and training through delivering excellence, growth and sustainable learning solutions.
• Collaborate and build a strong partnership with the Learning Development team who build the client facing training courses
• Be passionate about growing and scaling a business.
• Understanding our Customers feedback and driving change based on this insight
• Actively work with the Marketing and Sales team to develop specific training sales campaigns and ensure that the GES brand and accessibility is at the forefront of Medidata products and services.
• To become a key member of the leadership team in Medidata, utilising internal relationships to help support the growth of external training.
• Ensure all training offerings comply with any regulatory standards required as part of Medidata’s overall standards.

Strategic Consulting Services

Responsible for setting the vision and driving the commercial focus of Medidata’s Strategic Consulting Services. Create consulting offerings that support our customers efforts on platform implementations, digital transformations and analytically driven operating models. Proactively identify and cultivate business opportunities that support the adoption and optimization of the Medidata Clinical Cloud. Build, develop and lead the team of expert consultants to deliver high value consultants across the breadth of clinical development.

• Drive adoption and use of creative problem-solving practices, such as Design Thinking, that focus on human centered solutions and outcomes.
• Develop and implement a commercial strategy in collaboration with Sales and Marketing leadership that creates demand and preference for our consulting services.
• Create consulting offerings that support our customers efforts on platform implementations, digital transformations and analytically driven operating models.
• Lead and drive client’s understanding of our offerings to develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement
• Develop and maintain meaningful and productive client relationships at all levels to ensure that strategic recommendations and creative deliverables surpass client expectations.
• Engage with senior level clients to collaborate on solutions and approaches to improve and grow their ability to meet business objectives.

Your Competencies & Experience:

• Commercially focused leader who has experience of transforming the performance and operating model of a Training department to drive further success.
• You will have previous experience of leading a digital training provider or of converting a traditional training model to a hybrid of digital provision and ILT.
• Extensive knowledge of e-learning platforms, capabilities, digital content delivery.
• Technical Communication: Ability to create and present reports for distribution to a wider audience of individual contributors, line management and executive management.
• Experience of development of commercial delivery models around training and e-learning.
• Significant commercial experience in the learning and education sector.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in managing complex software implementations (Clinical Industry experience a plus).
• Proven consulting and engagement management skills
• Superior project and customer management skills.
• Technically savvy. Able to understand modern complex technical environments.
• Ability to become a ‘super-user’ of Medidata’s product.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in an enterprise environment
• Willingness to travel 50+%.
