Summary:

Meta is seeking a Lease Accounting Manager who can move fast and learn quickly to help scale processes and solve accounting issues for our growing data center portfolio. You will be able to work well with cross functional teams, provide accounting and process guidance for decision making, as well as being able to manage a significant portion of Meta’s infrastructure leases on our balance sheet. You will recognize how to strike a balance on getting the details right while still moving fast enough to support the rapid business growth. The successful candidate will be a highly driven, focused individual that can work well with internal and external partners at all levels.

Required Skills:

Global Lease Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

1. Lead a lease accounting team to plan manage and execute month end close duties, subledger review, preparation of manual and system automated journal entries, review financial transactions, result analytics, account reconciliations, and internal and external.

2. Review technical accounting memos and own accounting policies and processes for Leases. Maintain and ensure compliance on SOX controls and assessments for lease related controls as well as audits performed by business partners, internal auditors and external auditors.

3. Review of account analyses, reconciliation and reporting package for executive presentation including quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes deliverables related to lease related disclosures.

4. Research accounting implications of lease transactions, reach conclusions with adequate level of rationale and documentation for review, present and document the accounting conclusions.

5. Gain thorough understanding of the different focus areas of infrastructure investment including Facilities, Data Center, Fiber, Servers, Network and Storage and Infra Connectivity Programs and the associated accounting.

6. Work in close coordination on key compliance deliverables for international entities as it relates to lease accounting IFRS 16 through effective communications and globally coordinated execution.

7. Develop and maintain relationships with business partners in treasury, FP&A, internal audit, technical accounting, and business operations to understand the broader business objectives, develop processes jointly and provide accounting guidance through effective communications.

8. Provide mentorship, coaching and guidance to team and lead special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance or related field

2. 8+ years of accounting experience in a high growth environment

3. Experience with technical accounting, internal controls over financial reporting, and 10Q/K disclosures of public company

4. Experience in optimizing or re-designing new and existing processes resulting from business needs with emphasis on automation

5. Experience leading a high performing team
