Metrie is hiring for a Machine Operator Trainee (DAY SHIFT) in Calgary, AB!

What You’ll Do

As the Machine Operator Trainee, you will have the opportunity to help our business meet production targets by consistently producing high-quality interior finishing products in our Calgary, AB facility.

Key Interactions: You will report directly to the Production Manager in Calgary and will be a key member of the Metrie Calgary Manufacturing team.

Shift:
Monday to Thursday (6:00 AM to 6:30 PM)

Friday, Saturday, Sunday (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM)

At a high-level, you will:
Produce products to meet work order specifications while meeting high standard of quality

Operate our machinery and equipment to the specifications of the manufacturer

Support plant continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure daily production continuously meets requirements of IFOTIS (In full, On Time, In Spec)

Participate in cross-training with other departments on the production line to further your skillsets

Understand and apply our health and safety policies and regulations

Who You Are

We will provide in-house training to help you be successful in this role! No experience is necessary.

Are comfortable operating machinery and standing/walking for long periods

Have a positive attitude, lead by example, and are respectful towards your team members

Understand the importance of health and safety at work and can follow instructions
