Metron, Inc. Hiring for Software Engineer at San Diego, California Full Time

Metron is seeking a Software Engineer/Developer who desires to solve challenging problems. The selected individul will contribute to the design and development of a family of large-scale defense and homeland security simulation software.

Responsibilities include:

• Object-oriented simulation programming in Java

• Graphical user interface design and development in Windows

• Development and implementation of models for military systems

• Development of command and control logic representations

• Software testing and documentation

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field is required

• Strong Object-Oriented programming experience in Java, including design patterns, polymorphism, data structures, and algorithms

• Excellent analytical skills

• Experience with the Windows development, MFC

• Experience with any of the following is also useful: Web Services, SQL Databases, Graphical User Interface (GUI) design, XML, C++, C#, Microsoft .NET, Python, TCP/IP, COM and/or UNIX

• Services Oriented Architecture experience

Position Location: Liberty Station, San Diego, CA
