Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. One year of advanced clerical experience in processing personnel documents and providing information on personnel procedures is required. College education may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.
Preferences
Knowledge of Human Resources practices and benefit administration, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.
Recruitment Notes
This position provides support to the Benefits Administration Unit by answering/forwarding calls, assisting and educating employees regarding employee benefits eligibility as it pertains to active employees and prospective retirees. The position also works closely with Senior Employees Benefits Specialists and assists the pre-screening process for different retirement scenarios as well as scheduling appointments for prospective retirees. Additionally, the position assists the unit with mail distribution, scanning, and other duties.
