The Policy Implementation and Delivery (PID) – Investments Directorate brings value to our partnerships through direct investment, on the ground project support and connecting our partners to other opportunities and resources.
One of the key issues we hear from our partners is the difficulty in understanding New Zealand’s investment landscape. With over 50+ major investment programmes across New Zealand that focus on environmental activities, finding the right grant programmes for their proposal can be a daunting challenge.
As the Lead for Investments, you will collaborate and build networks with a number of investment and partnership teams internally at the Ministry, as well as across other government, philanthropic and private organisations. You will be the lead practitioner or ‘go-to’ person within the Ministry for understanding what funding opportunities are best suited for our partners and helping these partners navigate the funding landscape. As a practitioner role, you’ll be heavily involved in both the doing and the guiding of how our teams work within their systems, frame messages, connect, communicate, and collaborate internally and externally.
The Lead for Investments will also play an important leadership role in further building the Ministry’s investments operational performance. You’ll build system performance by leading programmes that enable knowledge transfer amongst investment agencies, and incorporate those learnings into future fund designs.
This is a tier 4 position, that reports to the Director for PID Investments. You will be part of the Senior Leadership Team that includes managers, principal analysts, and team leaders.
