Misumi USA Hiring for Global Sourcing Analyst at Schaumburg, Illinois Full Time

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Global Sourcing Analyst is responsible for developing new suppliers and products for Misumi’s distribution organization. You will identify potential suppliers, research the suppliers, make initial contacts, build relationships, and facilitate product introduction. This role works closely with the Global Sourcing Manager and Product Managers to expand product and brand portfolios. We offer a hybrid work schedule with three days per week in our beautiful Schaumburg HQ office.  You will support the continued growth of MISUMI USA through:

• Sourcing strategic brands and products both domestically and globally in order to fulfill customer needs and increase operational efficiency.

• Working with Product Managers to identify potential sources for strategic brands and products.

• Proactively reaching out to targeted suppliers to obtain required documents and approvals as part of the on-boarding process.

• Taking lead on various sourcing requests to support urgent and strategic needs from key, benchmark accounts.

• Participating in various initiatives and collaborates with suppliers to ensure pricing, quality, and performance is being met throughout the supply chain

• Working collaboratively with procurement, customer service, sales, marketing, and management to ensure all assigned projects are completed efficiently and on schedule

• Assisting in key, legal initiatives to ensure potential risks involving supplier documentation are mitigated.

• Providing ad hoc analysis support to product managers to ensure suppliers are executing at optimal performance standards of products.

• Some travel may be required (<10%).

  WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or technical field.

• 3 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management within industrial businesses

• Experience sourcing products both domestically and internationally.

• Strong data analysis skills (intermediate/advanced competency with MS Excel).

• Highly motivated driven, responsible, and results oriented.

• Capability to multi-task, working on several projects simultaneously.

• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
