We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to manage our Paint / Flooring and Seasonal departments.

You may not be an expert in these products and that’s ok as we are looking for leadership qualities that will drive the business forward, we can teach the product knowledge.

This is a critical role in the store leading two high profile departments that are a key components of the overall success of the store.

The successful applicant will be passionate about achieving results, motivating a high performing team and deliver presentation and service standards that lead the home improvement market in the Manawatu.

These departments change focus with the seasons and you will always be looking for opportunities to increase sales and profitability.

The Successful Applicant Will

• Set and maintain merchandising standards
• Ensure the department is well stocked
• Be involved in product selection
• Drive sales with off location and impulse displays
• Strive to achieve sales and GP targets
• Be responsible for team development and performance management
• Maintain a positive team environment
• Participate in the Store Duty Management Team

This is a varied and rewarding role, often hands on, but also requiring a level of analysis to review results and strive for improvement and higher standards of service and display in what is a very competitive industry.
