Mitre 10 (New Zealand) Limited Looking for Team Member (FULL-TIME) – Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale at Silverdale, Waikato, New Zealand Full Time

Since Riviera Hardware Holdings inception in 2009, where we started out with a small local Mitre 10 store in Warkworth, we have grown to be the largest group of stores within the Mitre 10 national network. We are proud to offer our customers a shopping experience like no other in New Zealand’s largest hardware retail store; Mitre 10 MEGA Albany as well as New Lynn, Warkworth, Whangaparoa and Silverdale, boast Columbus Coffee shops. We also have a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant.

We have 3 permanent full-time team member positions available on the shop floor at Mitre 10 MEGA Silverdale:

• Seasonal – That would include providing assistance with heating and cooling products, outdoor furniture, barbeques, camping and related accessories. The full-time (40 hours a week) roster pattern for this role is as follows: Wednesday (07:00-17:30), Thursday, Friday (08:30-19:00) and Saturday (07:00-17:30).
• Gardens – That would include providing assistance with indoor gardens, garden hardware ranging from wheelbarrow’s to ride-on mowers, fertilizers and pest control etc. The full-time (32 hours a week) roster pattern for this role is as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday (10:30-19:00).
• Plumbing – That would include proving assistance with plumbing tools and products and their application. The full-time (36 hours a week) roster pattern for this role is as follows: Wednesday (08:00-17:30), Thursday (10:30-19:00), Friday (08:00-17:30) and Saturday (08:00-18:30).

The Duties Of These Roles

• Provide information on products, across features & benefits and price ranges.
• Answer questions and queries from customers and make recommendations where appropriate.
• Replenish stock, ensuring appropriate and attractive presentation in all merchandise displays, including correct ticketing and location, to maximize sales potential.

Our Ideal Applicant

• Stock integrity awareness and merchandising standards (essential)
• Physically fit and capable with no restrictions on lifting or handling (preferred).
• Previous cash handling experience (preferred)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to fulfil the above mentioned full time roster patterns.
