Role Summary:
We have a need for a full time Sr. Vehicle Certification Technician (Connected Car division) to support New Zealand and Australian Vehicle telematics reverse engineering and vehicle certification activities. The Sr. Vehicle Certification Technician will work with customers and local site contacts to access vehicles and perform reverse engineering and certification activities to specifications, procedures, and schedules to ensure highly reliable vehicle and location data reporting. S/he will also work with internal and contract cross functional HW, FW, SW, and system test teams on issue resolution and continuous product improvement to ensure highest product quality and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform rental fleet vehicle certifications, which entail verifying basic vehicle operation, vehicle information (i.e., odometer, fuel, vin info, etc.), lock/unlock operation, and GPS vehicle integration and vehicle telematics reporting
• Perform vehicle test drives, fuel level reporting characterization, assist with product system testing, and specialty operation system certification
• Product and vehicle integration issue reporting and resolution development and verification support
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and problem solve vehicle and telematics hardware, firmware, and software issues
• Provide customer service and TIER 1 support
• Conduct customer and contract-resource product education
• Collaborate with business partners on reverse engineering efforts
• Manage and execute all aspects of remote-control RF command recording and validation operations
• Operate and manage manufacturing automation system and maintenance activities
• Maintain high-quality services by adhering to and executing production processes and standards • Manage production schedule to meet delivery cycle times and volumes
• Be the Point of Contact for Support in Auckland, New Zealand region
