Position Overview:

Materials Management 1 engages in receiving, unpacking, verifying, storing, issuing general and medical supplies and equipment used in the hospital. Assists in maintaining inventory control records.

Essential Functions :

Check in freight.

Distribute freight as necessary.

Restock shelves as necessary.

Fill departmental “office orders” as necessary.

Look up item information on the computer.

Be able to process electronic requisitions.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Qualifications & Skills:

a) Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

b) Training & Experience: Prefer 10-key skills.

c) Job Knowledge: None required.
