The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Major Responsibilities: Improve the efficiency of processes and eliminate wasteful components of the production environment.

• Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information

• Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste

• Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades

• Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues

• Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel

• Institute quality control procedures to resolve quality control procedures

• Create the layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency

• Participate and lead value streams

• Learn about methodologies by reviewing process flows, production schedules, and other information

• Managing process documentation and preparing production reports

• Communicate with customers, management, and vendors and staff as part of projects

• Participate in audits

• Perform other duties as may be assigned or required

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Degree in industrial engineering or related field required

• 2-3 Relevant work experience

• Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

• Documentation and organization skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
