Our direct experience, at both local and national levels, informs our services including analysis, capacity building, education, evaluation, facilitation, implementation, outreach, project management, research, and solutions development.Job description:Title: Community Engagement Analyst – Young Breast Cancer $22.31 – $23.56 / Posted thru: 8-8-22Work Location: Remote/Virtual – MUST BE MICHIGAN RESIDENTPurpose:The analyst will work with the Program Director of the Program for Breast Cancer in Young Adults to identify new partner organizationations, especially those that serve underserved populations, and assist with engagment of all program partners. In addition the analyst will assist with implementation and reporting activities for the program, aimed at decreasing mortality and increasing quality of life of young adults with breast cancer. Duties and Responsibilities: * Support and promote communication and reporting activities aligned with CDC Young Breast Cancer Survivor (YBCS) Program. This includes assisting with federally-funded program reporting using national platforms. * Integrate health equity, health disparities, social determinants of health, and systemic racism information into communication activities as it relates to the cancer continuuum, access to care, and also cancer care. * Assist with identification of new partner oranizations to expand the reach of the program into underserved communities. * Identify partner organizations serving African American and Latino populations under the age of 45 including faith-based organizations, historically Black colleges and other colleges serving a high minority population, Hispanic serving organizations, the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, and the National Panhellenic Council. * Assist with implementation of partner engagement strategies including the partner network meeting to engage partners to in meeting the needs of young breast cancer survivors and those with metastatic breast cancer. * Assist with development of provider and public education materials to increase knowledge about young breast cancer and young breast cancer survivors. * Assist the Program Director with engaging the program’s Advisory Council and workgroups members to disseminate program resources regarding screening, care, and survivorship resources. * Assist with engagement and education of community health workers. * Assist with implementation of all program workplan activities. * Assist with development of visual and language accessible documents. * Assist with development of listserv messages, social media, webpages and other program materials to engage partners and educate young people on breast cancer and resources for breast cancer survivors. * Assist in the planning and implementation of webinars that support cancer prevention and control activities. * Collaborate with local, state, and national partners. * Promote, when indicated, communication that uses plain language principles. * Represent the best interests of MDHHS and MPHI at all times. * Other duties as assigned.Qualifications/Requirements:Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.
