This position will also make labels and acquire materials for pack operation as well as visually inspect hats and enter data into computers. Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as they relate to the production and company’s objective is required. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste. Responsibilities *Assemble accessories on hard hats according to work instructions. *Set up and use machines, torque wrenches, and various power or hand tools. *Visually inspect to requirements, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs and rework. *Pull material for job as well as make labels and package material for shipment. *Move completed materials to appropriate work areas. *Complete and maintain relevant paperwork including productivity sheets and reports. Qualifications Special knowledge, skills, and abilities: *Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures. *Ability to understand standard units of measure. *Ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices. *Ability to sometimes lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance *Ability to operate simple machines, use power and hand tools, and pallet jack. *Ability to wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses and other PPE as required. *Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries. *Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. *Ability to prioritize and organize work.
