Plant Maintenance Fitter

Our Engineers support our manufacturing operations, ensuring that equipment is regularly maintained to high standards. With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities to grow and learn across many diverse areas. The Senior Engineering technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting issues with machinery and utilities in the plant whilst documenting all repairs and servicing of equipment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The primary responsibility of the Senior Engineering Technician is to support the site by:

• Performing and documenting maintenance and/or instrument calibration and validation and other works within your competence to meet maintenance schedules in accordance with SOPs

• Complete all preventative maintenance / routine calibration documentation

• Using knowledge and experience to trouble shoot and resolve non-routine problems/ breakdowns

• Of critical importance to the successful execution of this role is the ability to apply strong technical knowledge to routine maintenance and trouble-shooting activities

• It is also essential to be able to work collaboratively with other functions to support site priorities

• Document equipment failures

• Conduct trouble-shooting of processes, equipment and utilities

• Document all tasks in maintenance records, worksheets or logbooks in accordance with Good Documentation Practice

• Shift work will be required, starting in 2022 Pending implementation of shift work, participate in a call-out roster to provide 24-hour support to the facility

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

• Experience in a relevant engineering discipline or a trade qualification

• Strong verbal (negotiation / influencing) & interpersonal communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail with good documentation skills

• Competent in Word, Excel, Microsoft Projects, Outlook, Access

Skills and/or qualifications in any of the following areas advantageous:

• Solid experience with GMP/GLP or ISO 9000 in a production environment &/or in Pharmaceutical industry would be advantageous

• Tig Welding

• Pneumatics/ Hydraulics

• Refrigeration/HVAC

• Utilities including water, steam and compressed air
