JOB SUMMARY:
MUFG is looking for an ambitious Operations-oriented, technical-minded, investigator to join our talented team in our Tempe, Arizona Corporate Office. The role will report into the Assistance Vice President, responsible for Dispute Resolution Operations. The Claim Investigations Phone Support Specialist will join our Dispute Resolution team with a focus on Regulation E claim processing and other peripherally related functions and initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve complex, large dollar customer claims of error or unauthorized use involving ATM, ACH, and/or Bill Pay in compliance with Regulation E, communicating results of the investigation to clients and banking offices in a timely and professional manner. Handling customer calls on existing claims and/or general claim inquiries. Research and identify suspicious activity through comparative analysis to determine if the activity is normal or constitutes proactive steps to avoid further or potential loss. Perform advanced account research and problem resolution, including handling escalated calls and complaints. Prepare case documents for security and law enforcement agencies. Possess a strong working knowledge of and adherence to all banking regulations and bank policies and procedures. Perform excellent customer service with all points of contact including meeting/exceeding service level expectations. Assist in the development of more junior level Claims Specialists, as required.
Qualifications
Additional requirements:
Bachelor’s degree Preferred
1 – 2 years experience of banking experience
Proficient in the investigation and denial of all claim types
Banking & Claims processing experience, Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations, specifically Regulation E
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Excellent customer service, analytical, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills
Microsoft Office; intermediate to advanced
