Job Summary:
- Provides indirect patient care in the Cardiac Rehab Department.
- Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of individuals who present for hospital emergency services and admission of inpatients.
- Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
- Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database.
- Schedules patients for the department.
- Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.
- Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff.
- Insurance communication including authorizations.
Minimum Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Experience with Insurance Authorizations
