Neighborhood Place of Puna Hiring for Part-Time Shelter Monitor at Kea‘au, HI Full Time

Shelter Monitors assist in the daily function of an Emergency Homeless Shelter for families with minor children and are responsible for the safety and sanitation of the shelter site. Shelter Monitors will monitor shelter participant behaviors and provide support.

Neighborhood Place of Puna staff utilizes the Housing First approach and ensures that services are provided without any requirements of the shelter participants for sobriety, participation in treatment, medication protocol, compliance, or demonstrated “housing readiness”.

This is a part-time hourly position (24 hours per week but may vary based on need) with full benefits. We are looking for someone who is available to cover a combination of 6 am – 230 pm, 2 pm – 1030 am & 10 pm – 630 am shifts. Shelter Monitors may have to work weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.23 per hour
