Job Description

We have a permanent full-time position available in our Wastewater Treatment Team based at the Bell Island treatment plant for an enthusiastic Treatment Plant Operator (Wastewater)
We have a dynamic team environment where the focus is on continual process improvement and optimisation always looking to the future. Out of the box thinking and a positive can-do approach to problem solving is must.
Key tasks in this role include:
Ensuring optimal day to day operation of the treatment system, this includes the treatment plant as well as the associated pump stations and pressure reticulation network
Working alongside an experienced team of operators and mechanical engineers
Monitoring and trending of plant data and identifying abnormalities based upon laboratory, process data, and site trend results
Problem solving of treatment and mechanical issues and developing initiatives to further optimise the treatment process
Implementation of preventative maintenance programmes
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will ideally have the following skills, and attributes:
A qualification in the field of Wastewater is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate that we believe will best fit into our team.
We’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail and sound organisation skills, a willingness and ability to work after hours, good level of physical health as well as reliability in your approach to seeing the job through, and a strong commitment to customer service..
