The Third Party Risk Assessor, Sr. Associate is responsible for engaging with business units and NYL Third Parties in support of NYL required Third Party Due Diligence and Ongoing Monitoring assessments. This includes evaluating Third Party responses to assessment questionnaires, review of supporting evidence, and identification of risks affecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of NYL data and IT assets.

Major Responsibiltiies:

• Oversee third-party control assessments.

• Evaluation of third party responses to assessment questionnaires, review of supporting evidence, and identification of risks affecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of NYL data and IT assets.

• Lead assessment-related discussion/communication regarding Information Security and Business Resiliency control assessment process

• Communicate results of completed control assessments to Business stakeholders and third parties, including articulation of risks/impact to NYL

• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required internal standards and regulations

• Maintain deep knowledge of best practices and trends in Third Party Risk Management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferrably in Cyber Security, Information Systems Security, Third Party Risk Management, Business Management, Finance

• 3+ years of relevant experience

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and organizational skills

• Ability to think strategically and apply problem solving skills

• Demonstrated delivery of high quality results within expected timelines

• Team player who is collaborative but also can lead and drive initiatives

• Prefered, not required > Relevant industry certification (e.g., CISSP, etc.)
