Reporting to the Team Leader Human Resources, we are looking for an HR Graduate and or an experienced Administrator to join our People & Capability Service Delivery team. This role is a permanent full-time role based in our Auckland or Wellington Customhouse.
As a valued member of the team, you will be at the forefront of providing, high quality and consistent first-line advice to managers and staff across the business. You will be working in a supportive team environment where you will be motivated to grow and develop. You will be encouraged to share ideas, develop or improve tools and processes and have an opportunity to work on some exciting projects.
This role will require you to have a flexible working style, to be able to adapt to the varying workloads, and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. This key role is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of HR activities and develop your HR skills.
The successful candidate will need to be a confident communicator, a motivated self-starter, and be passionate about all things HR. We are looking for someone who shows strong initiative, is adaptable, has strong attention to detail and a willingness to grow and develop.

To join Customs in any role you must be a New Zealand Citizen or NZ Permanent Resident*.
(*) A New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident who has resided continuously in New Zealand for the last 5 years and resides in NZ at time of application;
OR a New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident who has resided in New Zealand for the last 5 years and resides in NZ at time of application, but may have been absent from New Zealand for periods of six or more months within the past five years, preferably in one or more of the following countries: either Australia, Canada, UK or the USA. You will be required to provide overseas police certificates for these periods spent outside of New Zealand.
