Could you be a superuser of Braze, SendGrid, and Mailchimp – and can leverage those to grow customer engagement? Are you ready to own the customer membership, acquisitions, and subscriptions pillar for NZME? Delivering best-in-class audience engagement through content and email testing, optimisation, and implementation of the customer lifecycle programme?

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and executing effective email marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement and conversions.
• Utilising newsletter automation tools to create new and improve the current suite of NZ Herald newsletters.
• Serve as the Braze specialist, leveraging the platform’s capabilities to optimize campaign performance and customer interactions.
• Analysing email campaign metrics and performance data to make data-driven decisions and continually improve engagement strategies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align email campaigns with overall marketing objectives.
• Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging trends in email marketing and customer engagement.

About You

If you’re nodding so far and can throw in 4+ years’ digital marketing experience including end-to-end campaign execution, top-notch strategic thinking, decision making, and problem-solving abilities, you’re sounding good to us! Experience with HTML, Braze, Shopify’s Liquid Logic, and Google Analytics is an advantage.

Helpful Skills

• Proven experience in executing successful email marketing campaigns and newsletter automation.
• Strong expertise in working with Braze or similar email automation platforms.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email design and coding.
• An interest in the technical side of customer relationship management including data structures, flow & integrations, APIs and webhooks, email deliverability & data hygiene, and NZ privacy law.
• In-depth knowledge of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign data and optimize performance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
