Newel Props Hiring for Part-Time Executive Assistant Job at Remote Full Time

Newel and Newel Props was founded in 1939 and we are the leading antique dealers in the world.

New York’s Long Island City, our 100,000 sqft warehouse is home to the most diverse inventory of antiques for sale and vintage furniture & decor in America, covering all styles and periods from the Italian Renaissance & English Victorian, to French Art Deco, Mid-Century & beyond.

Newel also has a 10,000 sqft showroom in Manhattan in the Interior arts building.

We are looking for a part time/possibly full time Administrative Assistant to help Jake Baer with many of his daily tasks. You will be helping him with the following:

• Schedule appointments and maintain calendars

• Help with invoicing and working with clients

• Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings

• Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents

• Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical

• Manage accounts and perform personal bookkeeping

• Decision-making: Administrative Assistants have to make independent decisions on a daily basis, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.

• Communications and collaboration: An Administrative Assistant must collaborate with other administrators and support personnel, management and clients on a regular basis.

• Organizational skills: Organization and prioritization are the core elements of the Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities. You must know how to keep yourself and others organized and how to determine which tasks are the most important in a given list.

• Passion for Antiques and Helping others.

• Writing: Spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and writing are essential to an Administrative Assistant, who must be proficient in a variety of styles, from creative to professional to technical to education and more

This role can be WFH.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
