Newly Weds® Foods Looking for Customer Service Representative at Chicago, IL Full Time
Job Description
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers while receiving purchase orders. In this role you will act as the liaison between customers, management, purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, and quality. The Customer Service Representative will ensure full customer service satisfaction while ensuring all compliance requirements.
- In take high volume of purchase orders via email. Effectively process and monitor orders to ensure compliance regarding turn around time and customer’s expectations.
- Ensures that customer data and orders are accurate and updated in the database at all times.
- Responsible for communicating with customers at each stage to inform the customer of accurate delivery times from the time the purchase order is received to the time the product has arrived to the customer.
- Effectively work with production, shipping, purchasing, R&D, transportation, and sales departments to avoid delays in customer expectations. Ensures all issues including current and future needs are professionally addressed to the customer.
- Utilizes conflict resolution skills to courteously and accurately respond to customer inquiries and concerns.
- Strong communication is a must. Must be able to receive customer orders via phone or email and communicate with production to ensure product availability.
- Schedule freight shipments with urgency and relay appropriate data quickly to the warehouse and/or quality departments.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions to resolve issues.
- Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of Newly Weds Foods’ products and services.
- Performs a variety of duties including the entry and processing of purchase orders, cancellations, modifications, product specifications, and other requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of two years customer service experience in a manufacturing environment. Traffic experience is a plus.
- Strong Communication (Written & oral) skills required.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, time management and project management skills required.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast paced atmosphere with sense of urgency, Strong organization skills required
