Miner 1 Development
Musselwhite site
Purpose
To provide support to the underground mine operations to ensure that production is carried out safely and efficiently following all Ontario OH&S Regulations and all Musselwhite rules and regulations. Ensure that safety and environmental results meet business targets and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the underground development team.
- Certify to operate rockbolt jumbo and jumbo drills, scooptrams (including remote) and all trucks.
- Drill, load and blast explosives rounds with jumbo, jackleg and stopper.
- Able to read, understand and interpret development plans and related engineering direction
- Demonstrate that work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Excellent housekeeping skills.
- Other activities and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of Grade 11 education or higher with good communication skills.
- Common Core Certification.
- Certification to operate of rockbolt jumbo and jumbo drills, scooptrams, (including remote) and all trucks.
- Minimum of 5 years underground experience and the ability to safely and proficiently demonstrate the duties required for the job.
- Ability to work safely with excellent housekeeping skills.
- Ability to take direction from supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
Working Conditions
The work schedule for this position is 14 days in, 14 days off
