In this role as an Administrative Clerk, you will provide administrative support to the Microbiology Laboratory, including the Medical Director and other laboratory leaders. This position will have responsibilities that include:

• Handling incoming calls, answering routine inquiries, providing general information and referring callers to appropriate department or agency; taking and relaying messages when necessary.
• Collecting, sorting, distributing and preparing mail, messages and courier deliveries.
• Greeting any visitors for the purpose of responding to their inquiries and/or directing them to appropriate personnel.
• Responding to all inquiries in a courteous manner, providing information within the scope of knowledge and authority.
• With direction, preparing letters, memos, correspondence, plan reviews, or other documents.
• Performing basic clerical tasks and operate basic office equipment.
• Assisting the Unit Coordinator and other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities, such as supply ordering and personnel timekeeping.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position, working Monday – Friday 8:30a-4:30p

Preferred Criteria

• Previous experience with EPIC
• 2+ years administrative experience

Required Criteria

• High school Diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of computer applications
• Minimum 6 months of related experience
