Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu is seeking a talented Programme Manager – Iwi Capability to uplift Ngāi Tahu whānau in the development of their skills and experience, ultimately contributing to the presence of Ngāi Tahu whānau in positions of governance, leadership, and employment in the modern economy. This is an exciting leadership position with an opportunity to share your expertise and enrich the lives of current and future generations of Ngāi Tahu Whānui.
This position requires a person who can develop, design, implement and manage initiatives to source and attract internship, cadetship and employment opportunities and to recruit appropriate Ngāi Tahu whānau to fill these roles. The Programme Manager – Iwi Capability will ensure the appointment process for Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu representatives to external agencies maintains effective Ngāi Tahu representation and provide development opportunities for appointed representatives.
The successful candidate will manage a range of programmes that support the development and progression of Ngāi Tahu rangatahi to engage in their iwi identity and to move successfully through their school and career transitions and through STEAM focussed and personal/career development programmes.
