Ensuring the safe provision of thousands of units of blood every month, the nursing teams at NHS Blood & Transplant (NHSBT) are saving and enhancing lives every day – and with your professional management approach, we will be able to achieve even more. Lead a blood donation team, and you will have the scope to enhance your management skills in a forward-thinking environment, ensuring that we are offering the best possible experience to our donors. You will have the freedom to define your leadership capabilities while shaping the next generation of nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
Main duties of the job
You will lead, manage and motivate a team of Healthcare Assistants, Donor Care Supervisor(s) and Sister/Charge Nurses to deliver and maintain high standards of care to our donors and to meet our regulatory and governance requirements. Your duties will include:-
You may be required to work variable hours and cover blood collection sessions as needed. This may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Night shifts are not required in this role
