Care Home Education Facilitator, NHS Grampian (Band 6)

Location: NHS Grampian – Office Base negotiable

37.5 hrs per week (Secondment opportunity OR Fixed term until November 2023)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a full time Band 6 Care Home Education Facilitator within NHS Grampian on a secondment basis until November 2023. The post is hosted by the Integrated Practice Education Team, based currently within Aberdeen city, but as the post covers all of NHS Grampian, the base can be negotiated. This role will involve travel across Grampian.

We are seeking a motivated autonomous practitioner who will work in partnership to influence the quality of the clinical learning environment in Care Homes through the provision of support, education and development for staff; increasing the number of Care Homes that are able to support students in practice.

They will also have the ability to work across NHS Grampian and engage with the nursing and managerial workforce at all levels to implement change and support ongoing development.

Applicants should be a Nurse with current NMC registration and;

• Have extensive experience at Band 5 or above, in posts which include supporting, supervising and assessing learners.
• Experience as a Practice Supervisor/Practice Assessor would be advantageous
• Have a genuine interest in supporting Care Homes
• Able to demonstrate an ability to motivate and influence change, using interpersonal and diplomacy skills
• Experience of facilitation of learning in practice
