About the job

As a member of the design team, you’ll be accountable for the software build using React and Node.js and delivery of functionality Portals for discovering, cataloguing and designing APIs

Primary responsibilities:

• Develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
• Write quality testable code
• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
• Integrate software components into fully functional platform
• Apply pro-actively & perform hands – on design and implementation of best practice CI/CD
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Deploy programs and evaluate customer feedback
• Comply with project plans, industry standards and regulatory requirements

What you will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years Technology experience
• 3+ years in application development and/or support roles
• Java Software Delivery technical skills
• Agile implementation delivery experience

Desired Skills Required:

Front End Technologies:

• Accessible HTML, Modern CSS , React, Typescript
• Good experience working with a Modular CSS or CSS in JS
• JavaScript

Backend technologies

• Nodejs (express), Sequelize, lambda,
• Build tools: Webpack, babel, Jenkins, AWS code pipeline
• Relational database (Postgres)
• RESTful API work, AWS and Node.js/Typescript would be real assets.

Testing

• Testing experience using jest, enzyme and cypress will be an advantage
• Worked with automated testing in a CI/CD environment
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and Content Delivery Networks
• Working with Agile software development team and Behaviour Driven Development approaches
• Experience with application performance profiling tools
