We’re looking for a full time Staff Software Engineer to work in our Integration group, chipping in to the development of our integration platform Zendesk Integration Services (ZIS). Leading the full lifecycle of product delivery from idea to deployment; defining solutions to sophisticated problems that spans across multiple services.
Write reliable, reusable and scalable code that you’re proud of! Actively lead team discussions about the best way to implement and review each other’s code.
Proactively find opportunities to improve code, modernize legacy capability and continuously strengthen reliability and visibility of the services.
Contribute to continuously improving development and operational ways of working within the team and across teams.
Work closely with Group Tech Leads, Product Managers and other engineering teams to build exciting products our users love.
Mentor other team members and help grow the technical capability and the culture of the scrum team, aligned to Zendesk values
Prioritize tasks to unblock the team and avoid getting caught up in unimportant details.
Experience working with sophisticated, distributed systems that are highly available; with an attention to scalability, performance and maintainability. Designing and implementing large-scale services/APIs solutions.
Hands-on experience with Go (and/or) React.js.
Experience working on cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
The ability to dive in and debug complex problems in the code.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, as you’ll be collaborating closely with engineering teams in San Francisco and other offices. We work flexibly and asynchronously; so please don’t be concerned with having to match various time zones.
