North Lincolnshire Council Hiring for Specialist Teaching Assistant Job at Scunthorpe, England , UK Full Time

The Tuition and Medical Needs Education Team are seeking to appoint an experienced full time Specialist Teaching Assistant.

This person will assist teaching staff in providing a tuition, support and reintegration service for children and young people who are unable to attend school due to medical, social, emotional and mental health need, or other confirmed need and support such children and young people and staff from their school environments whilst they are unable to attend.

We are looking for someone who is able to support our young people with their learning and in particular someone with GCSE subject knowledge across the different curriculum areas.

We are also looking for someone with a passion for supporting young people with their social, emotional and mental health needs, with pastoral/counselling experience. This role will include supporting our SEMH specialist in delivering well-being sessions to our young people as well as supporting learners in the classroom and in their homes.
