Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Business Management Manager 3 for the Xetron Operating Unit. This position will be located in Cincinnati, OH and is a full-time on site/in-office position.
The Business Management Manager 3 will be a direct report to the Cyber & Information Solutions Director of Business Management. The Manager will partner with the Business Unit Director and Program Managers to manage all financial aspects to achieve the Operating Unit’s strategic objectives.
Specific roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide direct management for a team of Business Managers and Business Management analysts.
Ensure team fully understands their roles and impact on financial results.
Mentor and develop professional and management talent within the operating unit.
Focus team on achieving uncompromising quality in all products and services, accountability, meeting financial goals, and team performance.
Develop proposals from draft RFP to award, including review of RFP, FAR clauses, coordination with subcontractor flow-downs, basis of estimates, indirect rates, pricing strategies, cash management, negotiation strategy and oversight, and presenting to Senior Management.
Familiarity with program startup efforts and support of the Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) and required data submittals.
Provide financial business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management as it relates to financial program status and analyses.
Develop business strategy and forecasting, through internal or external deliverables such as the Long Range Strategic Plan and the Annual Operating Plan.
Oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, implementation of EV reporting, program budgeting, estimate at complete development, and other financial activities including NCTA and capital.
Coordinate cost and schedule analyses and preparation of reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon cost and schedule parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Manage risks with multiple contract types from both an execution and financial perspective.
Act as primary point of contact with Program Director counterpart and maintain a positive working relationship to improve communication and stay on top of any potential cost issues.
The successful candidate must have a proven track record in leading a diverse team as well as the ability to promote the professional development of the business management workforce, fostering a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around ethics and integrity, employee engagement, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement.
The candidate will maintain the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics. The position requires some travel to customer and other off-site locations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 9 years of related work experience or a Masters degree with 7 years related work experience
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop talent
Experience developing business strategy and forecasting, through internal or external deliverables such a Long Range Strategic Plan or Annual Operating Plan
Experience with program proposals, cost and schedule control, program budgeting and forecasting.
Demonstrated knowledge in the preparation and analysis of balance sheet and income statements
Earned Value and financial reporting experience on a variety of contract types
The willingness and ability to travel domestically 10% of the time
Current, active DOD Secret clearance.
If not currently held, the willingness to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Current, active TS/SCI level security clearance
Experience leading a team, either as a lead, functional manager, or matrix manager
Expertise with SAP ERP, Cognos, Cobra
Experience in the development of detailed business case analysis and return on investment analysis
Strong analytical skills
Experience working in a heavily matrixed organization
Salary Range: $132,300 USD – $198,500 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
