Responsibilities
Our team is seeking applicants for the position of Medical Laboratory Assistant. Hours of work and work locations vary throughout the province.
Our Medical Laboratory Assistants work in collaboration with and supports all members of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PLM) by performing various functions relating to pre and post-analytical phrases of testing.

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant Program or equivalent (as determined by employer)
Candidates must be eligible or have successfully completed the Medical Laboratory Assistant examination of the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Basic understanding of medical terminology
Attention to detail
Manual dexterity to handle sharp instruments and small objects
Ability to perform procedures with a high degree of accuracy
Basic computer skills, LIS (Cerner Millennium) experience is preferred
Hours of Work
Casual, short and long assignments and permanent positions are available
Shifts may include days, nights, weekends and holidays
Travel to various sites may be required
These are Healthcare bargaining unit positions
Salary and Incentives
Medical Laboratory Assistant:
$22.40 – $25.37 hourly
