Job Description

NS2 Mission is actively seeking to add highly motivated Junior to mid-level JAVA Software Developers. Join our team supporting the DoD and Intel Community to help protect the security of our nation. Learn from Subject Matter Experts in an interesting product domain while working on a team of exceptional software engineers as you design, develop, and implement Web applications to power a national toolset used by a large base of Customers by writing well designed, testable and efficient code that meets technical requirements, encompassing working closely with Users to troubleshoot code defects and deploy timely fixes. We also perform Systems Administration duties as we deploy applications on classified and secured networks. Participating in a highly collaborative team environment, while contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle, our team delivers projects on time and with attention to quality, keeping what works and changing what doesn’t. Required Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math or related technical degree
• 1 – 4 years of Software Design, Development, Test, and Evaluation experience coupled with hands on JAVA, C++, JavaScript, Typscript, React.js, and Web Services experience
• Experience programming within a Cloud environment (AWS preferred), as well as experience with modern version control systems (i.e. SVN, Git)
• Experience administering/monitoring Windows Servers (including security requirements) and upgrading operational systems.
• Effective written, oral, and presentation skills, as well as good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of business users and management
• Self-motivated coupled with the ability to work individually and on team projects in an environment of teamwork and cooperation

Desired Qualifications

• An understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Knowledge of geospatial systems (MSP, CGS, Openlayers, leaflet.js, GeoServer)
• Knowledge of imagery formats (NITF, GeoTIFF)
• Knowledge of Identity Management (GeoAxis)
