Would you like to drive forward NSPCC’s schools offer?
In 2021, the NSPCC announced a new 10+ year strategy to make the biggest impact we can to stop child abuse and neglect. Our Local Services teams are an essential part of how NSPCC’s three main goals will be delivered:
Local Services brings together our work in schools, local campaigning and our direct services across 9 regions and nations. The North West Schools Service team plays an integral part of our mission as it’s responsible for delivering the schools offer.
Reporting to the North West Schools Manager, the Schools Coordinator role will be the single point of contact for all primary school settings. Working to set targets, you will be responsible for building and maintaining school relationships, co-ordinating the delivery of the Speak out. Stay safe online programme and wider school offer, including settings with SEND provision.
You will be responsible for the supervision, retention and ongoing development of an existing team of local volunteers who will directly deliver elements of our schools offer in classrooms. You will maximise opportunities and partnership working to attract, recruit and train new volunteers.
You will seek opportunities to work externally with key partners and stakeholders, such as local authorities and senior school leaders, representing Local Services and NSPCC Schools Service to capitalise on the impact and reach of our services for children.
You will be an active contributor to internal projects and workstreams, to help drive and develop our offer for schools and grow our service. We plan to broaden our reach as well as develop a secondary school offer in the future.
As a member of our team, our organisational values and behaviours would be important to you. We want someone who will take a child-centred approach, has a strong belief in the rights of children, and has a clear understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of life and practice.
You will have relevant experience of delivering programmes in an educational or safeguarding setting. You will also have followed safeguarding procedures, have excellent relationship management skills, enjoy working with people, have experience in all elements of volunteer management, have strong planning and organisational skills and have experience of meeting set targets.
Please apply by filling out the full application form (CV’s will not be accepted) and a supporting statement that provides your experience with clear examples that demonstrate how you meet each point of the person spec.
Provisional interview dates: First stage video interviews on Thursday 18th August. Final stage video interviews on Monday 22nd August.
