NZ Post Looking for Data Analyst – Pricing at Wellington, Wellington Region, New Zealand Full Time

• Based in Central Wellington with work from home options
• This role is part of our Business Value Stream and sits in the Product & Pricing Team

NZ Post’s parcel business is booming thanks to the growth in online shopping – we are busier than ever before! Over the past few years, NZ Post’s domestic commercial parcel business (NZ businesses sending parcels) has grown rapidly and makes up the largest part of the NZ Post core business. Growth from this part of the business is expected to continue and will be fundamental to our success and a long-term, sustainable business model.

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

In this role, you will help support this growth through your data analysis and will have a wealth of information at your fingertips. Overseeing multiple databases, on any given day you may be performing database administration, undertaking a data extract, analysing data to unpick trends, or data quality assurance. You’ll engage with and support numerous teams across the business, so will have plenty of variety and opportunity to grow!

A lot of the work will support our customer function, ensuring accuracy of data in contracts and assisting internal stakeholders, but the key focus will be ensuring the accuracy of products and prices whether through undertaking work directly, quality assurance or support.

Mōu – About You

• You’ll have work experience as a database administrator or data analyst with experience in data entry / data manipulation / data analysis.
• You will be comfortable working with MS Office products, especially with Excel for data entry or analysis.
• Ability to input data quickly and accurately
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate
• Detail oriented, and able to focus while performing repetitive tasks
• Good problem-solving and documentation skills
• You will have the ability to self-manage and be able to juggle multiple things at one time.
• Some experience with coding language (SQL, SAS) is helpful but not essential
