Job Description
Purpose of your role
The Compliance Associate is a key member of the global Compliance team, providing advice to Commercial and other teams at OFX and executing the Compliance Program.
The Compliance Associate will be responsible for reviewing customer documents, conducting complex transaction and customer reviews, preparing regulatory reporting, providing advice to OFX’s Commercial teams and monitoring to identify unusual activity in accordance with OFX’s AML/CTF program.
What you’ll do:
As a member of the global Compliance function, work closely with the UK Compliance team and with Compliance teams based in other locations.
Conduct compliance monitoring and review complex transactional or customer cases.
Work closely with Customer Due Diligence, Commercial, Operations and other teams, providing advice from a Compliance perspective.
Work closely with the financial crime investigators to provide a compliance perspective
Respond to queries from bank partners and other external stakeholders.
Prepare regulatory reporting and support regulatory engagement and audits.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to enhance and documents our processes and procedures.
Support Compliance monitoring and Assurance testing.
Escalate concerns of potentially suspicious activity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What you bring:
2 years experience in Compliance within financial services.
Bachelor’s degree.
CAMS certification a plus.
Understanding of EU anti-money laundering regulations.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment where priorities can change.
The ability to perform multiple tasks and work unsupervised.
Strong attention to detail and ability to use a number of Compliance platforms and systems.
Have initiative and be a self-starter.
Diligence, honesty and reliability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate with peers.
