Oliver James Associates Hiring For APAC Head of Procurement – Indirect at Singapore Full Time

Our client is a world leading Health-care firm looking to recruit an Executive Director for Indirect procurement within APAC. Covering 18 countries based in Singapore to drive change and transformation across the organisations indirect spend in the region. This will include but not limited to driving category management, improve business partnering, implementing a robust P2P process and oversight of a shared service facility in region and embedding a procurement excellence agenda.

• Global Procurement Collaboration with Asia Pacific Focus: To jointly drive global procurement collaboration across regions together with CPO & other regional procurement leads, to identify and lead global procurement initiatives from local, APAC, multi-regional and/or global perspectives
• Ensure that Procurement is aligned & well-connected with the various business functions:In the regions/countries and is therefore able to deliver significant savings to the P/L on a consistent and sustainable basis
• Procurement Cost Optimization: To maximize value for money of procurement spends on external products & services from external suppliers for APAC region. Continuously drive for the Optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Processes Excellence: To drive standardization & increase automation on procurement processes (i.e. strategic, tactical & operational procurement processes) across APAC region & in collaboration with Business Process Management “BPM” and Global Share Services “GSS” as well as other stakeholders in local country

• Strategy:To generate & develop APAC regional procurement strategy in alignment with global procurement leadership directions, and to drive alignment and implementation across APAC region
• Organization: To review and to re-engineer & build the APAC procurement organization, particularly in regard of regional category management structure & country procurement team, to ensure efficiency & effectiveness for global collaboration & global initiatives
• Processes:To drive standardization of procurement processes, particularly, through inSITE SAP SRM, in close collaboration with BPM team and SSC and Ariba e-sourcing tool implementation with Global Procurement Excellence
