Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.
Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. 12 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.

Responsibilities

If so, Oracle is looking for a head of Data Science Sales for North America. This specialist will be a part of a new team that will develop and define the go-to-market strategy for our cloud sales team. The data science leader will research, define, build and deploy effective programs that accelerate sales and implementation of Oracle’s rich suite of Ai/Data-Science/Data-management products. While this role requires working with a wide array of Oracle staff, you will also need to closely track the industry trends in tools and programming languages so that you can help customers overcome the business intelligence (BI) and artificial intelligence (Ai) divide. Internally at Oracle, the Lead for Data Science Sales Specialist will work closely with several teams including accounts teams, solution architects, development, marketing and demand generation to execute the business plan. You will be responsible to create scalable sales motions, programs, and messaging that both simplify and synergize the sales message of this hyper-growth area of the rich suite of Ai Family of products (link (https://www.oracle.com/artificial-intelligence/what-is-ai/) ). This includes some of the most cutting edge services Oracle is developing including Digital Assistant, Speech, Vision, Anonymoly Detection/MSET, and other advanced data science services. In this role you will help our engineering team and customers build solutions that drive value and make their business(s) more efficient. You will track the North American product sales performance and advise the leadership on strategies that provide maximum results and product adoption.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years in a sales or presales role selling data management or advanced data science technology
7+ years of experience in development for data analysis (Python, Java, Rl SQL)
4-year BA/BS in computer science, computer engineering, or related engineering degreeMS or PhD preferred
Strong written and verbal skills
An ability to work in a matrixed organization
